We just
completed our
second
Compassionate
Boldness
Conference
here in the Salt
Lake Valley.
Thanks for your
prayers! I don’t
think I could
has asked for
things to go
more smoothly.
The speakers
were incredible
and thanks to
Aaron and South
Mountain
Community
Church’s
technical staff
we had no
technical
glitches. James
White gave two
plenary
sessions; one
dealing with the
doctrine of the
Trinity and
another on the
amazing
preservation and
trustworthiness
of the New
Testament.
Sandra Tanner
finished off the
day speaking on
the role of LDS
prophets.
Downloads of all
of the plenary
and workshop
presentations
are already
available at

The Mormons have
opened another
temple
here in Salt
Lake City
county. Situated
in the west end
of the valley,
the Oquirrh (Oh–kur)
Mountain temple
is the fourth
such building in
this area. Me,
Tammy, Randy,
and Sharon took
a tour on June 1st
and later was
able to have
lengthy
conversations
with
missionaries in
the “hospitality
tent.” Our
separate
conversations
went very well
and without
interruption.
Randy and Sharon
spoke with a
sister
missionary from
Guatemala and
Tammy and I
spoke with a
sister
missionary from
Minneapolis. It
is so sad to see
so many people
hoping for
“celestial
exaltation,” yet
none of them are
confident they
will achieve it.
An elderly
gentleman who
joined our
conversation
could only give
a long pause
when I asked him
if he knew for
sure if his sins
were forgiven.
Like other LDS,
he had no
assurance that
he was forgiven.
Pray for us as
we get ready for
two weeks
ministering in
Manti
at the Mormon
Miracle Pageant.
It appears that
the people who
produce the
pageant are
looking for ways
to make our
Christian
witness
ineffective by
establishing
“free speech
zones.” Legally
I can’t see how
this can be
done, but in our
current
political
climate this may
become a serious
free speech
issue.
Serving Him with
boldness,
