Happy Thanksgiving Dear Friends!!!

Thank you for your prayers for me and the people here!!!  12:30 a.m. this past Monday morning I was awaken by a knock at the door.  We have had unusually cold weather for this time of the year for a week so “Brit” was very cold as she apologized for waking me up to ask for a ride home.  She was crying, who knows for how long.  Her boyfriend, father of her two children, was killed in a drunken driving accident in August.  Also wanting a ride home was her brother “Bro” and friend “Bri” both having bikes.  All three were drunk as they piled into the truck.  “Brit” asked if there was any work I would like for them to do to pay me back but I said I would just like to talk with them about the Lord some time.  They wanted me to do it right then.

I did start to speak when the questions began to fly faster than one could possibly answer them!!  I’m not new at this so it was no surprise to be challenged and hear objections but what was a bit surprising was “Brit’s” determination to focus on her question to the point of telling the other two to be quiet.  Her friend was starting to get contentious about what “Brit” should believe while sat in front of her home so I suggested “Brit” let them out so we could talk peaceably.  “Brit” asked to be picked up for church this Sunday then her brother requested the same.  The Jehovah Witnesses have been coming around a lot as well as the Mormons but she doesn’t want to go to their churches.  Her brother has gone a number of times.  They are traditional Navajo in their up bringing so they are quite confused.  One of the questions I often get is, “Why are there so many different churches and denominations?”  People often feel they need to go to church and do good things to get to God.  I need great sensitivity to the Lord’s leading in every way.  Sarah and I did go to visit “Brit” yesterday to follow up on her.  She still wants to be picked up for church but was not comfortable asking questions at that time as her mother was nearby in their small home.

Sarah is out of work now except for some small tasks I have for her to do.  I can’t pay a whole lot but at least it is something and I do need the help!!  She is in need of prayer covering as she is struggling sometimes more than others.  She is doing little projects at home that she has wanted to do for a long time. J  Unemployment is paying $240.00 a week.  She is worried about how she’s going to make it.  Thank you for praying for her!!!!!

“A” and “Clar” haven’t come for Bible study for over a month now and most of that time “A” has not been to church due to being sick and other reasons.  His friend has not started the Bible study with him yet but I hope that starts soon.  In a phone call with them this morning they said they have a place in Gallup to rent and are hoping to move in next week.  It has been like January here the past few days with temps around 12 degrees last night.  They really need a warmer place with running water.

I have enjoyed working with “J” and his Anglo girlfriend “E” with the horses and am praying for an open door to talk with both of them about the Lord.  I did get to talk with “J” one day.  He said he has not received the Lord but would like to hear more.  I keep inviting them to church and making comments about the Lord while we work with the horses. J  The three teenage siblings who usually work for me on Saturdays have said they would be interested in coming to church.  They do not know the Lord yet.

I truly need the Lord’s guidance and help every day.  I absolutely cannot make it without Him for I am over my head in many ways.  I am very thankful for each of you who are led to pray for me in this work!!!  I really do need your prayers!!!  The gal that AIMI accepted back in January, Julia, to come and help some here is still trying to raise her support.  Thank you for praying for her!!!

Prayer Requests:

  1. Salvation of:  “Brit” “Bro” “Bri” “J” “E” and the Billie family;
  2. Sarah’s healing, spiritual growth and job hunt;
  3. God’s deeper work of refining in my own heart and life;
  4. Daily wisdom for God’s priorities and to be able to delete and throw away what truly doesn’t need my attention!!!
  5. God to continue to open my understanding of natural horsemanship and putting it into practice!!!

Thank you and God bless each of you who pray and give financially as He leads you!!!

In His Care,

Tobie Keiser
