Dear Prayer Partners,

Thank you for your prayers as the Lord leads!!!  There are some answers to my growing season prayers in process.  Sarah has brought the juvenile probationers over once since I last wrote.  They helped with moving dirt, clearing some brush and doing some weeding.  The last hour we had them grooming the horses and then leading them around.  Again some of them expressed interest in working with the horses.  We will have them groom the horses again when Sarah is able to bring them for another work day.  It was a long day but well worth it to be with those young people.

I am having a regular Bible study group at my home on Sunday mornings made up of some youth and a couple adults right now.  The last study with the youth had a lot of good questions from them.  I always enjoy that. : )  Ladies’ Bible study continues on Tuesday evenings.  Last night Sarah said the only people she sees out doing ministry door to door are the Jehovah Witnesses.  I have been saying the same thing for some time now.  I have tried to get someone to go with me to do some visitation but have had no takers.  As I shared that with Sarah she began to think that maybe she and I could go visit some people she knows.  We are talking about doing that once a week.  We had been talking about that right before her daughter was killed over three years ago now.  I’m encouraged that she is considering it!!!  The Jehovah Witnesses have been coming to Sarah’s home from time to time and she invites them in to talk to her about God.  Now if you are like me major red flags go sky high!!!!  I have learned to be careful how I talk to Sarah about things such as this, so I suggested that she could relate to me what they have told her so we could together look at God’s Word to see if what they say is true.  Right away she said that there is only one place in all of Sanders where she gets the truth and that is right here in my home.  She strongly said that is why she comes here.  There was no more conversation about the JW’s after that.  It would take a long time to tell you of all the conversations Sarah and I have had about different religious beliefs.  I have been learning to trust the Lord to guide her in the way of truth as I depend on His help to faithfully teach her.

I now have two nine year old students for horsemanship sessions. : )  I am continuing to make steady progress in my personal study and practice.  I would appreciate prayer for this as I get stuck in my learning periodically.  : )  My horses have twice come down with a bad cold since the end of April.  This is very unusual especially since they have not been around any sick horses to catch it from.  I cannot work with them in that condition so I used the time for other work.  Today I have been not well and not eating much so no horse work.  Good time to write an update!!!!  : )

The Navajo tribe has a summer youth worker program that may be a big help to me this month.  The tribe goes to each chapter area to choose a handful of teens to work for an employer in the community with the tribe paying for it.  The employer needs to be a community business or be part of an organization.  One of the youth I have been working with was chosen to be in the program and that youth chose to work for me.  The youth started on Monday.  It appears the Tribe is okay with his choice which is awesome for me as this will be a big help with outside work plus I get to have more input in “J’s” life for this month.  Lately he seems to be disinterested in spiritual things so I’m praying for opportunity to talk with him.

Alv” has graduated from high school and is planning to attend Indian Bible College this fall in Flagstaff, AZ.  That is a praise!!!!  After years of praying and digging up the land trying to get rid of the fire ants it appears prayer has been answered!!!!!  The ants are disappearing!!!!!  If you would like to know what the product is write me and I’ll tell you. : )

Thank you for your prayers and financial support as the Lord leads you!!!!!!!  I am very aware many are struggling financially.  Your gifts are a testimony of God’s grace.
