Dear Praying Friends,

Greetings in the name of our Savior!

After Rex's return from Kenya his Doctor - A first generation African, called and asked him to take a blood test.  He did so and the report came back that Rex was loosing blood and that he should begin taking iron pills. After further testing it was decided that a colonoscopy should be done and the conclusion was that nothing was wrong with the lower intestine. For that we were thankful. Then we were notified that there was still a blood loss somewhere in his system and and that the Dr. would like to check further, but with our schedule we were not able to follow up until we arrived in Everett, WA this week and the Dr. gave Rex a full physical. Yesterday, the 26th the Dr. pronounced him well and healthy even though he has lost 5 pounds (without trying!) but found that there is still a continuing blood loss from somewhere. Due to our time constraints and his concern he then called and ordered an immediate consultation with a specialist who immediately scheduled an esophagogastroduodenoscopy for tomorrow.  As we understand it the test will put a probe down the throat and look for something causing the loss of blood in the upper body cavity.

Rex feels fine, maybe a little tired, but deservedly so. While we are here we are meeting with our friends and supporters and also trying to pack household goods for our ultimate move to California when the Lord provides a window of time large enough for that to happen.

Please pray for our continuing schedule. We travel an hour and a half and to our meeting tonight and then return sending one of our men to Canada for the rest of the week and where we will join him on Sunday. It is our great desire to be a blessing both to the churches and people we meet and to our men.

God is good and we are thankful for your continued prayers and support. After we find out the results of the test we will let you know.

In the love of Christ,

Rex and Andrea Furman
